Wow! This is a surprise to me. I just read that vegan Ellen Degeneres has been announced the next American Idol judge, replacing Paula Abdul.
It seems her recent appearance on America’s Got Talent gave her judge fever. Well apparently she’s a HUGE fan of the popular music show and got the gig from Simon Fuller. From what I’ve read online, Ellen got a massive 5 year deal. That’s huge!!!
“I’m thrilled to be the new judge on AMERICAN IDOL,†said DeGeneres. â€I’ve watched since the beginning, and I’ve always been a huge fan. So getting this job is a dream come true, and think of all the money I’ll save from not having to text in my vote.â€
She’s no Paula Abdul. I will miss Paula because who can fight better with Simon than Paula. And that silly banter makes me laugh. Sorry Ellen I like you and you’re super funny at times, but Paula will be missed. And as for Cara, I’m really not sure what she’s still doing there. Not to be mean or snarky, but she brings nothing to the table. Sorry Cara!

I think it’s great! I knew that Ellen was a big animal advocate, but I did not realize she was vegan. That is excellent. She will be a refreshing addition to the panel & I can’t wait to see her harass Simon.
Love Ellen! I think she was the perfect choice and I know my brother will sure be glad Paula has been replaced. My brother would record American Idol just so he could fast forward past Paula’s comments to the contestants.

Interesting choice for a judge
Well one thing is for sure, Ellen being named the next Idol judge sure has raised a ruckus. Some totally are for it and some well…not. Thanxs for piping in guys.
