I like to blend together frozen blueberries, a banana and vanilla yogurt. It makes a great smoothie, and a nice treat on weekend mornings.

UptakeinOH, I have successfully frozen blueberries in either freezer bags or in a plastic container (like tupperware). I suppose you could freeze them in specific portion sizes, but I've also used some of the blueberries in a bag and then returned the rest of the bag to the freezer. Just be sure to wash them before freezing!

Here in Ohio we get gorgeous batches of fresh blueberries, but in all honesty, I never thought of buying a large quantity and freezing them! Just wash them, I imagine, but is there a specific way to freeze them? I'm thinking in single serving baggies and then double-bag, and toss in the freezer. A superb idea, and I'm sure much-loved in the middle of winter.
