African American Vegan Celebrities [video]

May 28th, 2008

I had someone recently come to my blog looking for african american vegan celebrities. I didn’t have this information covered, so i decided to find some and write about it.

I found a really neat video on VegFamily (that peepchick created) and it is a montage of vegans past and present. On it were several African American vegan celebrities, including Dr Dre, Brandy, Rosa Parks, Coretta Scott King, rapper Andre, and purple bad arse himself Prince.

The video also has music by one of my faves, Johnny Mayer, can’t wait to see John in concert. Do watch the video, and see how many faces you recognize. As i watched it, there were a few notables i did not know were veg, such as Jerry Seinfeld. See how many you can pick out.

There are many more black vegheads than what is profiled in the video above, feel free to point out additional African American vegan and vegetarians below in the comments section. Thanxs!
