My latest discovery is this feminine bamboo crewneck tee that sports an affirmative “Live Fully”, courtesy of organic t-shirt shop Tees for Change.
Apparel made from sustainable bamboo is going to be super soft, pliable, and durable. Bamboo is a material we are definitely going to see more of, many retailers already carry bamboo clothes, but it isn’t everywhere just yet. Prices are high to moderate now, but eventually will come down to a more mainstream level. Online is where the best deals are to be had, I have found many good buys on the web. The kicker about bamboo is that it grows like mad, and because it is naturally anti-bacterial, no pesticides are needed.
The “Live Fully” Bamboo Crewneck Jersey Tee is made up of a mix of 70% bamboo and 30% organic cotton, and comes in the color green.Â
Who is Tees for Change?
It is an independent yoga retailer started in the Spring of 2007 by a yogi mom-to-be, and is based in Colorado. All the tees are fair trade, made with either 100% organic cotton or a combo of organic cotton and bamboo. They even have an arrangement with the American Forest Global Relief program, in which they will plant a tree with every tee purchase you make, how cool is that.
Groovy Veg, Says: “Stylish designs, variety of tee styles (from crewneck, scoopneck, to long sleeve), and a groovy company behind the product”.

hey thats way cool… I didn’t know they could make shirts out of bamboo. I think my gf would want to see that, she likes organic clothes.

Hi—Alex:
Yes, feel free to tell your g/f about these groovy tops and about my blog. I appreciate you spreading the word.
There are a boatload of items made with Bamboo, not just clothes. It is a highly versatile material. Hemp is another sustainable material that is gaining alot of ground in the green arena. There is even food made with hemp, pasta and such.
On another note, thanxs so much for stopping by. Have a great day.
Missy.
