VegiTerranean Offers Inventive Meat-Free Dishes

There is a new review on the Chrissie Hynde vegetarian eatery in Ohio called VegiTerranean. It’s a solid piece that covers all the bases in a restaurant, including the decor, the food, the chef, the service, and the vibe.

The veggie restaurant gets high marks from CleveScene, a mag devoted to all things in Cleveland, Ohio. The reviewer (local writer Elaine T. Cicora) remarks at first on how can a new hip restaurant like VegiTerranean do well in a struggling city like Akron.

She then goes on to mention that the food is where the focus is at and that the chef (Scot Jones) really comes through with inventive and scrumptious meat-free dishes. This is what is setting the vegetarian restaurant apart and making it flourish.

At VegiTerranean, no meat is served at all, and substitutes such as soy, tofu, and gardein (a garden protein made out of soy and wheat) are used creatively and with an Italian twist. The menu is a fusion of meditarrean and vegetarian, hence the name.

I’m stoked to see a positive write-up and more exposure for VegiTerranean. I hope it does well and am in its corner. I have written before on VT, check the previous posts here and here.
