Pam Anderson Serving Vegetarian Meals to Homeless

November 21st, 2007

Bulging beauty and actress, Pam Anderson, also a long-time veggie will be spending Thanksgiving night in Sin City. Why? It has been reported that for this Thanksgiving, Pam will be serving up vegetarian meals to the homeless in Las Vegas.

When asked about her compassion for turkeys and the homeless, Pamela Anderson goes on to state that, “the holiday season can be especially hard for those who find themselves homeless, and it’s murder on turkeys. With so many healthy and delicious options nowadays, it’s easy to have a holiday meal (without meat) that gives even turkeys something to be thankful for.”

The location and name of the homeless center in Las Vegas will not be disclosed as she wants it to be a private affair with no cameras or media hounds.

For all that you do with PETA and for animals, we love you Pam, always have!

November 14th, 2007

I have it on good authority, that Vegiterranean is now officially open. Kevin, who lives in Akron, Ohio and runs a vegetarian meet-up group there, sent everyone in the group, a notice that the vegetarian restaurant is officially open.

Funny Vegetarian Quotes

November 12th, 2007

I decided to round up some funny vegetarian quotes, past and present. These are all classics, well, in my opinion any way. Have some? Send them my way.

Vegetarian Actress Alicia Silverstone (words of wisdom)

“I think that the film Clueless was very deep. I think it was deep in the way it was very light. I think lightness has to come from a very deep place if its true lightness”.

George W. Bush (on broccoli)

“I do not like broccoli. And I haven’t liked it since I was a little kid and my mother made me eat it. And I’m President of the United States and I’m not going to eat any more broccoli”.

Jim Davis (on NOT being fruity or nutty)

“Avoid fruits and nuts. You are what you eat.”

Jay Leno – (on how humane McDonald’s is not)

“McDonalds announced it’s considering a more humane way of slaughtering its animals. You know they fatten them up and then kill them. You know the same thing they do to their customers, isn’t it?”

George Carlin (on naivetee)

“Ever wonder about those people who spend $2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward”.

O.k. so some aren’t really vegetarian quotes, don’t bust my chops about it. Laugh anyway, laughing does a body good. Got some? Leave me a comment.
