VegiTerranean Set For October Opening

Chrissie Hynde, rocker and vegetarian, is set to open her new vegetarian restaurant, VegiTerranean, in mid October in her hometown of Akron, Ohio. The star gave a private concert last week where the restaurant is slated to open and ticket holders got a chance to meet and cavort with the long-time PETA supporter.

VegiTerranean is the name of the meatless eatery and per reports will feature a full vegetarian recipes menu and tend to have kind of an upscale vibe. The place will be managed by long time restaurateur and local Dan Duplain.
I wish there were pictures available of the actual place, but i think it is still under construction or not yet photo-ready. Per the comments located in the source article, there are mixed emotions of the vegetarian eatery with many locals either totally for it, or totally against it, with some calling Chrissie an Ohio desserter.

from reading the comments from that article, i gather the locals are somewhat pissy she left Akron, but is coming back for their money, which i guess is really cynical. why not start a place in her hometown, it actually brings money to the area. its a good thing.
