Vegetarian Shoes and Reader Question

Groovy Vegetarian was started last month, July 5th to be exact and my initial aim with this vegetarian blog was to discuss a variety of topics within vegetarianism. I am thinking i want to pick a niche within that category, and am considering focusing on vegetarian and vegan shoes.

I would like your input on whether this would be something you would like to see and read more about. I love love love shoes and find gorgeous, hot, sexy, vegetarian footwear all the time through my extensive online residence. I would like to pick a niche to focus on and dedicate my blog to it.

What do you think? Are you a fan of animal-friendly footwear? Would you be interested in seeing and reading more about vegetarian shoes here at Groovy Veg? If so, what is YOUR favorite online vegetarian shoe retailer?

Let me know, leave a comment and share your thoughts.

I think that is a fabulous idea! I think it will do very well. Sketchers offers some great vegan options. I have these fierce buckle boots that are sexy and vegan for those who don’t have the a lot of money to spend Electrique Boutique makes some unusual shoes.

I should add or don’t want to spend a lot of money. I still wear shoes that I bought from the Electrique Boutique a that are over four years old. There are some that I don’t wear but that is only because I don’t go out dancing as I used to. Somehow having a daughter changed that, at least for now! :-)

Oh their web address is http://www.electriqueboutique.com/ they used to have a vegetarian section but I see they don’t have it now they are all lumped together.

Thanxs for the feedback, Opal. I think it will be a fun change for me and my readers/visitors to switch the blogs focus from covering everything about vegetarianism to (vegetarian and vegan shoes). I plan to dedicate a page to vegetarian resources and make this a prominent page for those wanting or needing more generalized info on incorporating more meatless meals into their diet. So i won’t abandon that idea completely.

I will definitely be checking out Electric Boutique and see about their animal-friendly selection. Thanxs for the tip.

Anyone else care to share thoughts?

I like the name of your blog, which is why I visited it today (saw you post on Pro blogger). I think you should stay with covering lots of veggie topics and just include shoes as one of them. Your bog name is really catchy so I came here hoping to find ideas for becoming a vegetarian and the different kinds of vegetarians there are and the various reasons for people to go veggie, plus recipes and stuff like that. Shoes are cool too, but I wouldn’t check out your blog much if it were just all shoes. Maybe include other stuff near and dear to the vegetarian’s heart. I am not a veggie myself but I am cutting back on meat and trying to expand my horizons and learn how to cook without meat. It’s a first step but gotta start somewhere, right?:)

    Hey, Momo:

Thanxs for the sweet comments and for dropping by. I see we are both fans of the master, problogger Darren. I read pretty much at his blog everyday. Good feedback, it seems so far, it is mixed with some folks wanting me to go with the vegetarian shoes idea, and others suggesting i mix it up abit. So i haven’t fully decided yet, but i probably will choose to go with a lively mix of topics. Thanxs again for the visit, and do stop on by again.

  6. As people get better at using other software to pick-out blog entries, I suppose narrower blogs do better. But I’m only just experimenting with google desktop for picking out newsfeeds and don’t mind a bit of variety.

Oh: I saw your question on Google Alerts headed “shameless blog promotion”: may I do the same?
http://www.veganline.com sells vegan shoes online, including some ultra-cool summer ones: http://www.veganline.com/plimsolls.htm

    Good luck with the blog
